The Citadel has a heart to serve—both its people and the wider community
Prophets John and Meleana Harke, founders of The Citadel, felt a powerful calling from God to plant a church in Tucson. Fueled by this vision, they brought their passion and over 20 years of ministry experience to life in 2021, making The Citadel a reality for the Tucson community.
John, a five-time author (including “How to Develop a Prophetic Culture”), ignites hope and destiny within the body of Christ through his prophetic teaching. He travels nationally and internationally, sharing the word of God with passion for revival and for people to experience God’s power. When he’s not on the road, John cherishes time with his five grandchildren.
Meleana, with a heart for restoration, delivers encouraging messages woven from personal experiences to uplift and empower God’s people. When not traveling alongside John, she finds joy in spending time with family and her grandchildren.
Rob Lester is the Executive Pastor at Citadel Church, where he helps to implement the Senior Leader’s vision, trains and mentors leaders, and manages church operations. He also plays a key role in setting up structures for church plants (Garrisons) and regularly teaches and preaches. With over a decade of pastoral experience, Rob has held credentials with the Assemblies of God and currently holds ordination credentials with Citadel Church.
Beyond his professional life, Rob is a dedicated family man, blessed with five children, two grandchildren, and his wife, Tracy. His ministry reflects a strong commitment to leadership development, community engagement, and fostering a vibrant prophetic culture.
Robert and Veronica Acosta are the Associate Pastors at Citadel Church, born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, have shared a lifetime of faith and service. High school sweethearts have been happily married since 1991, they’ve raised four children and are blessed with eight grandchildren.
Their journey began with a commitment to seeking and serving the Lord, starting as Nursery Leaders and progressing to Youth Pastors for five years. They are currently pursuing their ministry credentials through the Assemblies of God and have been active in various community prayer initiatives, including the National Day of Prayer.
Fueled by a passion for God’s presence and empowering others to hear His voice, they guide people towards their God-given destiny, revealing their true identity in Christ and igniting their light to spread the Kingdom.
In 2021, they co-founded The Citadel Prophetic Gathering, driven by their passion for God’s presence and a desire to see individuals liberated and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Their favorite scripture, Matthew 4:4, underscores their belief in the importance of hearing and obeying God’s word.
